The Relationship

We listen. You succeed.

Help us help you. It’s that simple. When you want specific skills or you are looking for a very specific role, the time to open up to us is right from the start.

Sometimes we have that candidate in mind, and sometimes they find us. The more you can share, the clearer we’re able to picture your needs. Maybe you need a database QA analyst who is also a pro at storage management. Maybe it’s a FinTech expert, but they need to have experience in disaster recovery. We listen. We get it. We can help.

3 Keys to a Candidate Relationship

Open and honest communication is very important in building a successful recruiter/candidate relationship. It’s important to let us know up front what your top desires are. Identifying any must-haves, or potential deal breakers surrounding a position, will move the search in the right direction. It is also very important to disclose what other opportunities or candidates you’re looking at so we know exactly where you stand with your search. Knowing what other things you are considering, and the time frame in which these opportunities could come to fruition, will help us to know how to manage opportunities on your behalf. Holding information back or sharing it too late in the process could jeopardize the entire placement process, so being open and honest up front is critical in building a successful recruiter/candidate relationship.

Being available and accessible to meet and communicate with us is an important part of the process. Initially we will request a meeting with you so that we can get to know you on a personal level. It is important to be flexible during the entire life cycle of the placement process since time is valuable to all parties involved. We are mindful of your schedule and will do everything in our power to coordinate viable times for meetings with us and potential client companies. Sharing your schedule and allowing for some flexibility to that schedule will help to keep things moving quickly during the placement process.

During the placement process, we will advise, recommend, and provide feedback that will be helpful to you. We are experts in the technical recruiting business and have helped thousands of candidates with their job search. We have been involved in countless negotiations and can make recommendations based on situations that we have encountered. This information can be invaluable to you, which is why it is important to listen, evaluate, and follow through with any reasonable suggestions and/or tips that may be given. Suggestions concerning resume format/content changes, interviewing techniques, and post-interview follow-up can make all the difference in landing the job, so chances are good that if you follow through with the advice, it will pay off. Knowing when to say “no” is also important. It is okay to say “no” at any point in the process should you decide a position is not right for you. It is better to follow your instincts earlier rather than later. Hearing a “no” from you is also better than hearing nothing from you at all.
